REONA Charity Fundraiser
Together for Kumamoto
October 1 to October 25, 2026
On July 28, 2026, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck Kumamoto Prefecture in southern Japan. In October, REONA is raising funds to support the people of Kumamoto, and REONA will also make a donation.
Many people in the area are still trying to rebuild their homes and get their lives back to normal.
Kumamoto may be far from our counter in Tokyo, but it is connected to our work at REONA. So we wanted to do something to help.
Why REONA Supports Kumamoto
The sushi we serve at REONA is made possible by people all across Japan, not just here in Tokyo. Fishermen, farmers, and producers in different parts of Japan all play a part in bringing that food to our counter.
We wanted this fundraiser to be a way for REONA and our guests to give something back. We also hope it helps you feel connected to Japan and the different parts of the country, even after you return home.
Our own pledge
During the campaign, REONA donates ¥500 for every guest who enjoys the Rikai Signature Course.
Dining with us in October is also a way to contribute. Every guest who joins us adds ¥500 to the amount REONA will donate to Kumamoto. At the end of the campaign, we will add our donation to the donations we have received and send the full amount to Kumamoto.
Where the money goes
All donations go to the official relief fund for the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, operated by Kumamoto Prefecture. This is the prefecture's official relief fund, and the money is distributed directly to people affected by the earthquake.

Anyone can donate, whether you have dined with us or not. You can donate online by credit card from anywhere in the world.
Payments are processed in Japanese yen by Square. Dollar amounts are approximate and depend on the exchange rate on the day.

We keep all donations until the campaign closes on October 25, 2026.

We add our donation and transfer the full amount
After the campaign, REONA adds ¥500 for every guest who enjoyed the Signature Course and transfers the full amount to the official relief fund of Kumamoto Prefecture.

We will publish the total raised, REONA's contribution, the transfer date, and the transfer record on this page.
Square charges a 3.6% payment processing fee, and there is also a bank transfer fee. After these two fees are deducted, we donate the remaining amount in full to Kumamoto.
Please read before donating
- REONA collects all donations and sends them to Kumamoto Prefecture together. We cannot issue donation certificates for tax deductions. If you need one, please donate directly to the prefecture.
- You will receive a payment receipt from Square by email. This receipt serves as a record of your donation to REONA.
- Donations cannot be refunded once the payment has been completed.

- I have never been to REONA. Can I still take part?
- Yes. You can take part even if you have never visited REONA. This fundraiser is for our past guests, people who follow us on Instagram, and anyone who simply wants to support Kumamoto.
- Can I donate from outside Japan?
- Yes. You can donate online by credit card from anywhere in the world.
- What currency will I be charged in?
- Payments are processed in Japanese yen. Your card company will convert the amount into your local currency using its usual exchange rate. The dollar amounts shown on this page are approximate.
- Will I receive a receipt?
- You will receive a payment receipt from Square by email. REONA cannot issue donation certificates for tax deductions. If you need one, you can donate directly to Kumamoto Prefecture through the official page linked above.
- How do I know my donation reached Kumamoto?
- After the campaign closes, we will publish the total amount, the transfer date, and the transfer record on this page.
